Synopsis

This Russian military propaganda film chronicles the journey of tank commander Kalashnikov, who, after a 1941 battle injury, finds himself sidelined from the front lines. While recuperating in a hospital, he starts sketching designs for what will become one of history's most famous weapons: the AK-47. The film is set against the backdrop of occupied Crimea.
