Synopsis

When 19-year-old Irena Gut becomes the housekeeper for a prominent Nazi officer, she uncovers plans to liquidate the Jewish ghetto. Driven by compassion, she hides twelve Jewish workers in the basement of her employer's home. For eight months, Irena relies on her quick thinking and bravery to protect them from discovery.
